Echoes started with an interest in old footage and that strange feeling of recognizing something you had completely forgotten.

A Walmart checkout. An old Target department sign. A mall full of people just spending an afternoon. The footage is ordinary. What comes back when you watch it usually isn’t.

I find these little time capsules, make videos around them, and share what catches my attention. Sometimes it’s funny. Sometimes it hits much harder than you expected a grocery store to hit.

We bring different memories to the same picture.

That’s what makes this interesting. You might recognize a place I’ve never been. You might know what was just out of frame. The comments and the stories people send in can be as good as the footage itself.
