What we collect

When you send a memory, we store the contact information, description, source details, file or link, and permission choices you provide. When you join the email list, we store your email and signup consent. Partnership inquiries are stored so Luke can review and respond.

Where it goes

Submission records and files are stored privately with Vercel, the hosting provider for echoesofnostalgia.com. Files are not a public gallery. Access to the review studio is restricted to the site owner. Source links are recorded for review; the site does not automatically download them.

Permission is specific

Sending a submission allows private storage and review. Permission to contact you, publish on Echoes channels, edit material, and email you updates are separate choices. You retain ownership. Choosing public use allows non-exclusive use on Echoes’ website and social channels, which may include monetized editorial content. Paid advertising, resale, and licensing to other parties require a separate agreement.

Only grant rights you hold. Identifiable people, children, privately recorded conversations, music, and third-party work may require additional permissions. A checked box is not a substitute for checking those rights. Material with uncertain rights remains a lead for investigation.

Credits

You can request a specific credit, choose public anonymity, or ask to approve attribution before publication. Public anonymity does not remove the private contact record needed to manage the submission.

Email updates

Email subscription is optional. The list is collected for occasional Echoes updates, not sold to other companies. Each email campaign must include an unsubscribe option. You can also request removal at any time by emailing Luke. Signup saves your request; it does not promise a particular sending schedule.

Third-party services

Videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed only after you choose to play one. YouTube may then receive connection information and apply its own privacy policies. Links to TikTok, YouTube, and other sources take you to those services. Google Fonts serves the website fonts. Hosting providers process basic connection and security information.

Spam protection

The server uses short-lived, hashed request identifiers to limit spam. Rate-limit counters expire and are removed by scheduled maintenance. This site does not install advertising analytics or tracking pixels.

Updates, deletion & retention

Contact luke@echoesofnostalgia.com to request access, corrections, changed permissions, unsubscribe, or deletion. Include your submission reference when possible. Unused material may be kept while it remains under review; you can request its removal. Permission records for published work may need to be retained to document authorized use. Already distributed material may require coordination with the relevant platform.

Please do not submit sensitive personal documents or material you are not entitled to share. The submission form is for adults 18 and over.
